Three teens die in Saturday night crash

The Virginia State Police is investigating a crash that resulted in the tragic deaths of three 16-year-olds.
The single-vehicle crash happened at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Yorktown Road, according to a Virginia State Police release.
Preliminary investigations found that a 2015 BMW 325i, driven by a 16-year-old male, was traveling westbound on Yorktown Road east of Cardinal Lane. The driver lost control, ran off the roadway and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn, the press release stated.
The driver died on impact, the release stated. Two passengers, in the front and rear seats, also 16-year-old males, died from injuries suffered in the accident. There were no other passengers.
All three were wearing their seatbelts, the press release stated.
