Yorkminster Presbyterian Church has a new pastor, the Rev. Dr. Marc V. Mason.

Mason was welcomed by church members at a lunch Dec. 1, his first Sunday in Yorkminster’s pulpit.

He is a 1989 graduate of Eckerd College, formerly Florida Presbyterian, in St. Petersburg, Fla. with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. He is a 1992 graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J., with a Master of Divinity. He was awarded his Doctor of Ministry degree by Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2018.

Mason has served in Alabama at Trinity Presbyterian Church from 1992 to 1996, in Pennsylvania at Princeton Presbyterian Church from 1996 to 1999, in South Carolina at Purity Presbyterian Church from 1999 to 2005, and most recently in South Carolina at Trinity Presbyterian Church from 2005 to the present. He and his wife, Leslie, have two adult daughters.
