The York County School Division has made this Friday, March 13, a student holiday and staff workday for all employees to enable staff to work on the components of its Pandemic Response Plan.

“While we have taken many steps to prepare for and mitigate the potential impact in our community, we know further action is warranted,” a news release from Public Relations & Communications Officer Katherine Goff stated on Thursday afternoon.

Transportation for Governor’s School and New Horizons programs will be provided from high schools at the normal times on Friday.

Additional information regarding adjustments is available on the division website, Goff stated.

“We would like to thank you for your continued support of the York County School Division as we have navigated through two unprecedented and complex situations, the Grafton electrical fire and the COVID-19 outbreak, in the last six weeks,” the release stated.
