State sees 33-percent increase in COVID-19 cases overnight

Virginia saw a 33-percent increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases overnight from Friday to Saturday.
The case number now stands at 152, according to the Virginia Department of Health. There are 25 people hospitalized, and two people have died — both of them in James City County.
The cumulative number of people tested has risen to 2,790.
The Peninsula Health District continues to be a hot spot, with 20 cases in James City County, four in Williamsburg, three in York County and two in Newport News.
