Peninsula Health District cases of COVID-19 up to 44

Virginia is now reporting at least 219 cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, as of noon Sunday.
It’s a 44-percent increase from the 152 cases reported at noon Saturday. A total of 3,337 people have now been tested.
One additional death, of a Fairfax resident, has been reported, bringing the total deaths in Virginia to three. There are 32 people who have been hospitalized.
The Peninsula Health District total is up to 44, the most of any of the state’s health districts — 32 in James City County, five each in Williamsburg and York County, and two in Newport News.
