COVID-19 cases rise 20 percent

The number of COVID-19 cases in Virginia went up 20 percent from Saturday to Sunday.

The state now has a total of 890 cases, with 112 hospitalizations and 22 deaths. About 10,609 people have been tested, and the positive tests represent about 8 percent of all tests.

The Peninsula Health District has 105 cases, with 70 in James City County, 17 in Newport News, nine in York County, seven in Williamsburg and two in Poquoson.
