The Tabb High School field hockey team got a win over rival York High School in region playoffs.
For the second time this season, Tabb and York matched up with each other. In the first meeting during the regular season, Tabb earned a 4-0 win, and in the teams’ playoff matchup, Tabb won 3-0. The win cements Tabb’s spot in the region championship game.
“The girls have come a long way in three months,” Coach Lindsay Olson said. “I was pleased with how they played out there. They put up two goals early and they worked well together.”
Hayle Hackworth led the way with two goals for the Lady Tigers, with Gracie Roberts scoring a goal as well.
Tabb has qualified for the state tournament, and Olson believes if the team continues to play together, they can be successful against anyone at the state level.
