The Poquoson field hockey team earned another region championship after a win over Tabb High School.

The Lady Islanders got the 2-0 win over Tabb to put toward a strong resume that only includes one loss on the season.

Samantha Jones had a score for Poquoson. Libbie Harper also scored with an assist from Skyler Brown.

Even though Tabb lost, both teams qualify for the Class 3 state playoffs, with Poquoson likely hosting in the first round while Tabb is likely to go on the road.

Poquoson has had a strong season, earning its second consecutive Bay Rivers District title and could be looked at as one of the favorites for the Class 3 state title.
