Tigers basketball off to strong start

The Tabb High School boys’ basketball team has already earned wins over their local counterparts this season.
The Tabb basketball team has started off well throughout this first quarter of the season. At 5-2 on the year, the Tigers have wins over Grafton High School, York High School and Poquoson.
All games have been competitive. Tabb dominated Poquoson with a 20-point win. They then defeated York 57-48, getting a big game against E.J Bell as he went for 27 points and nine rebounds while Ayden Keeter added 15 points.
They then took on Grafton, which was a tough battle. Tabb earned a 69-64 victory that saw all-around efforts from both Grafton and Tabb. Malcom Velmar led the way with 22 points to lead Tabb, while Terry White scored 26 to lead Grafton. Tabb will see all these teams once again in the back half of the season with a chance to wrap up the city title.
