Former York High School standout Brian Ginn recently got a promotion with the Chicago Bears.

Ginn, a former standout at York during the ’90s, was promoted to assistant special teams coach by the Chicago Bears. Ginn has spent the last couple of seasons as an offensive quality control coach under the Bears, where he helped the team averaged 26.3 points per game in 2018.

Recently, the Bears made some changes to their coaching staff, which included some promotions. Ginn was promoted to assistant special teams coach and will help with that group for the 2020 season.

Before coming to the Chicago Bears, Ginn had recently spent more than 20 seasons at the University of Delaware as both a player and coach and coached a multitude of positions.

As a graduate of York in 1994, Ginn went on to play at Delaware and became a coach there after his playing days were over. During his time there, he has been a part of 17 winning seasons, and he helped the Blue Hens win a national title in 2003.

At Delaware, Ginn was teammates with current Chicago Bears Coach Matt Nagy. At York, he was instrumental at quarterback in a Wing-T offense.
