As postseason has gotten under way for wrestling Tabb High School, York High School, Grafton High School and Poquoson High School, all have standout performances on the way to having athletes qualify for states.

York and Tabb competed in the Class 3A region tournament. The Falcons took home second place in the region. Jacob Seale, Bradyn Waddell and Joshua Evans took home the region championships for York at 132, 113 and 195, respectively. Jett Tornatore finished second at 116 and Hunter Teeson finished in second place at 126. David Reid and Brandon Latta both took second place for York at 145 and 136. As for Tabb, D.J. Uribes bought back a regional championship.

Grafton had a couple of top-two finishes in the Class 4A region tournament with Mason Zent and Alberto Araiza finishing as runners-up.

In the Class 2A region, Poquoson took home yet another regional championship as a team. It is yet another huge accomplishment for the Islanders, who are the reigning Class 2 state champions looking to bring one back to Poquoson once again.

With the state tournaments coming up, York County schools are looking at more goals to build upon their team and individual finishes at the regional level.
